Milestones
3,6, 9 and 1st Year Cake Smash

You get all 4 milestones 3,6,9 & 12 month Cake Smash. $225 non refundable retainer to book all four sessions. 6 images with each session. The 3,6,9 month sessions are mini sessions. The Cake Smash is a full session. You get 12 digital images with your full session Cake Smash. You will have option to purchase more from each session. Cake can be ordered in any theme for an additional fee. I use Kristys Custom Cakes!! I do two classic sets and then the cake smash theme set. Outfits provided for classic sets.
6 Month & 1st Year Cake Smash
($700 - $200 retainer to book)
6 Month 8 images and 12 month Cake Smash 12 images. Options to buy more in each session. Cake can be ordered in any theme for additional charge. I order from Kristys Custom Cakes! A non refundable retainer of $200 is required to book these sessions.
1st Year Cake Smash ($400 - $150 retainer to book)
1st Year Cake Smash. 12 digital images. Options to buy more!. Cake can be ordered in any theme for additional charge. I order from Mo's Goodies! Cakes start at $40 depending on detail and theme. 2 classic sets and then cake smash theme. Bath pics can be added as a set at no extra charge. Custom built themes and sets.
FAQ
A little about what is offered and when
I offer in studio sessions in my private studio. Studio sessions take place Monday to Friday @ 10am. I do not offer newborns, milestones or cake smashes in the evening or on weekends.
Just pack up baby and yourself and come and enjoy while I do it all!! I have a fully stocked studio with props, outfits, accessories, backdrops and everything needed to make it a memorable experience!! Come sit on the couch and sit front row and watch me photograph your sweet little miracle. Bring snacks and a coffee, sit back and watch the magic!! Dads have even been known to nap...lol
What to expect -
Your newborn session can last anywhere from 2-4 hours. This is common. Babies are not used to being undressed and wrapped like we do. This is why we love them sleepy. Studio will be very warm. It will be close to 80 degrees. This is to keep baby comfortable and warm to sleep. Expect to nurse or feed more than you normally do. These sessions are all about patience. They are 75% settling and 25% shooting. Some babies are fast and some make me work for it and that is ok!! I am used to it!! You are welcome to bring a coffee and snacks and then sit back and relax!!
When do I book my session?
It is recommended that you book several months in advance. I book quickly and I only take so many newborns a week. I book you in for your due date but we all know that is not always the case and babies come when they want to. I do not want to overwhelm my schedule so I am careful how many sessions I book in the same month or week. Once baby arrives we find a day suitable for both you and I.
Best Time to Photograph a Newborn
Newborns are typically 14-21 days old when they come into the studio. They sleep better and are able to bend and fold into those cute poses. After 4 weeks newborns tend to have a growth spurt and they tend to have "more awake" time and not wanting to sleep like they did the first two to three weeks. Keeping in mind some babies spend time in the NICU and in that case we make arrangements to get them in once released. Having me on your list of contacts after baby is born, early or late helps me find a suitable day to get them photographed.
What can mom and dad do to prepare?
I always ask mom and dad to help me a bit before hand and it always pays off in the long run. Try a bath before your session. It may help to keep them sleepy. Also feed your newborn before you come!! A full belly = sleep
Please try and keep your newborn up for about 1-2 hours before session. It may be trying and bit exhausting but the more tired they are the more pleasant the entire session will be. Place diapers looser than normal so that there are no elastic marks on legs and waist.
You are more than welcome to bring a prop or two of sentimental value to add to your session.
Please bring a soother even if you do not plan to use one. They can be a game changer in a newborn session being successful.
Dress comfortable if you are having family shots. Neutral colours are best. You are more than welcome to bring siblings to the session. Their pictures will take place at the beginning of session. Once these shots are done, I ask that children be taken away from studio as there is no where to play, and your session could last several hours.
After your session
Approximately 2-3 weeks after your session you will receive an email of your full gallery where you will choose your session favourites. You will have the option to buy extras or the rest of the gallery. That info will be with your gallery.
